keytech at the Lino Design & Sales Automation Conference 2017 in Mainz

From May 17 to 18, the 8th International Lino / Tacton User Conference will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Mainz. During the two-day conference, visitors will be offered a variety of lectures, hands-on workshops and expert panels. Among the technology partners of the configuration specialist Lino, keytech Software GmbH from Recklinghausen is represented as a strong supplier of PLM and DMS solutions.

This is the 8th annual Design & Sales Automation User Conference put on by the Tacton Business Partner and configuration specialist Lino from Mainz. As in previous years, the team at Lino GmbH has come up with a lot of interesting information about their own automation solutions for the sales and design process. In addition to user and specialist lectures, the conference will also include hands-on workshops and expert panels.

The diverse conference program is further supplemented by the participation of Lino technology partners. Keytech Software GmbH from Recklinghausen is representated as a strong provider of PLM and DMS solutions. This year, the focus is on throughput time reduction through process automation, and the integration of a configurator into existing system landscapes.

"We can contribute a great deal to this main topic," explains Dr. Reiner Heimsoth, CEO of keytech Software GmbH. "With keytech PLM and DMS, we provide our customers with a solution that provides the full perspective on all company information, documents and processes within the value-added process. And of course integrations to other central systems as well as the products of our partner Lino play an important role."

For this reason, keytech is not only represented with a partner stand at this year's Design & Sales Automation Conference, but also contributes an expert lecture to the event’s program which will examine the interaction of PLM, Configurator and ERP.

" TactonWorks is a great solution in Lino’s portfolio that delivers real value to our customers during product configuration," said Thomas Adamek, Sales Executive at keytech, who will also give the lecture at the conference. "From a pure PLM / PDM perspective, the added value that comes from the automated creation of such a variety of new CAD documents is, of course, also a problem that we solve through integration."

There are certain competing objectives between PLM and Configurator. While the added value of the Lino solution is to create CAD components automatically, a central objective of the PLM system is to avoid the duplicates of the components and multiple components that are hereby created, in order to optimize storage and management costs.

Through the integration, only the actual new parts, components, items and parts lists will be automatically created in keytech and assigned to the already existing elements. This results in a comprehensive solution for joint customers, which fully exploits the advantages of the two single solutions.

Participants in the conference can already look forward to getting more detailed information about this interesting solution that the two companies have put together.

"We are already looking forward to participating in DSAK 2017 and to having the opportunity to chat with all the participants," concludes Thomas Adamek.
